Crossing the Border into Canada.

We headed into Alberta Canada. The beautiful Mountains continue.

In the road we stopped for a cattle drive. Complete with lead truck, cattle, cowboys and a cow dog.

Here is a mountain standing as a sentry in the distance. Note the field of yellow flowers, they are beautiful

Yep we are leaving the Good Ole USA.

A bit of information about the mountains.

 A business in the town of Waterton. We could have rented a bike or a motorcycle.

On the way to the RV we saw a red fox taking a stroll through town.

Glacier National Park

After a couple of nights at Walmart we were off to Dick's RV park for one night to pick up mail and on to Glacier National Park. On the way saw this sign in memory of some flood victims.

We have an eye on the front coming in and one eye on the road.

The mountains are even beautiful through the clouds

Only 17 more miles to go and we are in. 

We came upon a herd of horses in the road.

This is the Glacier Park Tour Bus. The top slides back so the visitors can get a closer look.

This is Goose Island, the most photographed Island in the world.

We saw bear.

We saw a grizzly walking along by the lake, he poised beautifully.

Me in all my relaxed state while out camping.

After our day at Glacier National Park, we packed up and headed into Canada!!

Lewis and Clark Expedition

One of the five waterfalls Lewis and Clark faced. They now have a damn there but the original water fall is in front of the damn.

We then went into the interpetive center for movies and some displays.

They hauled the canoes around the falls.

This statue was the same height as Jefferson was, now you can see just how short Mitch is.

A very nice sculpture was displayed as a tribute to Lewis and Clark

A beautiful bird was at the interpetation center to say hello.

Mitch showed us how the papoose carrier was used.

Then Mitch modeled the officer's coat

Note that serious officer face!!

But Mitch would not put on the buckskin coat or the bucksin dress.

This completed our learning experience with Lewis and Clark. So off we go.

Finish the Valley and on to Walmart

We saw deer on the hillside. Think these are mule deer.

This guy stopped to have his picture taken.

As we went on down the valley road, the mountains continued to be beautiful sites to see. If you look to the left side here, they call this the lions head mountain. Can you see the lion's head?

Information about the river we were seeing. It flows down, goes underground and then back up.

Another deer further into the valley, stopped to poise, you know they are such hams.

Even though there was snow around us, we saw bits of spring. A lovely little flower.

We went in to see the natural bridge, which in effect is the river going underground and popping up several hundred feet later.

Mitch had her twin come up and park next to her. Aren't they cute?

Of course you have the normal walmart visitors. This car is protesting states that banned smoking.

Horse Whisper Country

 We were directed to a valley where the Movie "The Horse Whisperer" was filmed. It is as breathtaking as it was in the film.

The mountains around us were just beautiful

We think this may have been the house that was used in the film.

There was a cabin across the creek that also fits in the movie scenes

Birds of prey were out, think this was a hawk, watched him dive for food.

This metal sculpture was at the visitor's center.

This little furry guy was scampering across the field and stopped for pictures.

We continued on with more beautiful mountains.

Then we found the road kill saloon, thought we would stop for a bit of lunch.

But the people told us to wait outside they hadn't opened yet, so we left.

These are possibly mule deer. Wild life...

Time to break camp and head to another location closer to the Canadian border...So stay tuned, next internet access will share more pictures.
