On the road to the Blue Ridge Mountains

We stopped a couple of nights at a great campground. On the way up to the Blue Ridge of course we had to stop and get gas. We stopped at the RoadRunner gas station. If I had better connection here on the Blue Ridge I would share the picture.

Because of construction the Blue Ridge sent us on a detour and we went into Mount Airy, better known to most as Mayberry. We spent the night in a Walmart parking lot to the sounds of va rooooom va rooooom. Bikers were hanging out next to me with their harley's. Liz has the guys with the glas pack mufflers and she got the loud roar and horn blowing, a restful night was had by all. We drove into Mayberry, got a picture of the statue of Any and Opie. Mayberry isn't what it use to be.

But back on the Blue Ridge life became great once again. The views are spectacular. We enjoy a country group called Mountain Ivy and some flat shoe dancers. A terrific day.

When I get a bit more power I will upload pictures to share with you.
